The Brussels Yaegaki-kai has been created in Brussels in May 2000
Our Dojo is following lineage and the teachings of our gone too soon Sensei Oda Katsuo 8th dan Hanshi Iaido – 7th dan Kyoshi Kendo from the Japan’s Shizuoka prefecture. Oda Sensei and who was coming in Belgium since 1993.
The Brussels Yaegaki-Kai’s koryu is Eishin Ryu following Oda Katsuo Sensei’s teachings and is an exponent of the Japanese Yaegaki-kai group located in Shimizu, Shizuoka, Izu, Osaka …

We have 3 trainings per week. One on Tuesday from 20:30 PM to 22:30 PM, Thursday from 20:30 PM to 22:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM. These training are leaded by the Sensei and Sempai and are composed of: warming up, pratice of Zen Ken Ren Iaido forms, Free practice with group session following the Sempai-Kohai system, during these trainings we practice ZKR Iaido (Setei Iai) as educational forms from the ZNKR, Omori Ryu (Shoden Eishin Ryu) – Eishin Ryu including Hasegawa Eishin Ryu (Chuden) & Okuden I waza Osaka Style for iaidokas above 1st Dan, we also practice kendo no kata that were compiled in 1912 (Naito Takarahara Hokushin-itto-ryu, Monna Tadashi Hokushin-itto-ryu, Neigishi Shingoro Shinto Munen-ryu, Tsuji Shinpei Jiki Shinkage-itto-ryu, Takano Sasaburo Ono-ha-itto-ryu), following the teaching of Oda Katsuo Sensei 8th Dan Hanshi Iaido – 7th Dan Kyoshi Kendo.
