03/01/2010 Kangeiko (寒稽古)

Kangeiko is a special training that occurs during the coldest days of the year. It’s purpose is to practice hard and push physical and mental limits of the practitionner. In japan kangeiko are generally held on an entire week with an every day morning and evening practice. Kangeiko include a mix of intensive exercices, suburi, kihon and ZKR Iai kata series. The Brussels Yaegaki-kai kangeiko this year was a 3 hours training including an average of 13x complete series, 12x 4th directions kihon and ~500 suburi.
